Description

Heatwaves are among the most dangerous natural hazards, but they do not receive the attention they deserve. Even the related death tolls are not always immediately obvious. The WMO and the WHO have compiled a guidance which considers who is at risk and outlines the approaches of assessing heat stress, and presents the science and methodologies associated with the development of HHWSs.
